I don't think I have quite dried out from Neches Bluff but we sure have been blessed with a good bit of rain. The water in the river is warm enough to wade without waders and I can return to standing in the river, waving a stick and talking to God (I ain't that smart and He has to explain a lot to me). I hope y'all are doing well and I miss all of you friends and brothers.

No fishing today.I had to go to the tax collector and when I got out it rained till dark.

That reminds me, I still have a tent in the garage that needs folded and put away, whenever I finally get back to the homestead

Got 5 inches of rain Sunday.

On Sunday my daughter who lives just north of us in Temple, Texas got the windows of two vehicles broken out by softball size hail. We only got hard rain because the storm passed from west to east and was to our north. I hope that Jesse faired well he is between us and it looked like the storm was centered over Killeen.

It's been wet here for a while now. Lakes were nearly 20' above the flood level after the tornado and storms, they're still around 10' above. They rose nearly 30' in a month. James and I took the canoe out to where the Lampasas River meets Stillhouse Hollow Lake shortly after the Temple tornado. It was crazy, we were floating over the canopies of trees.
Anyway, guess I'll catch yall up to speed on me. I've changed positions in Spectrum, I'm now a construction coordinator. I'm essentially a project manager for new builds. Pay increase, M-F 7-4, major holidays off, cushy desk job, and I'm good at it. No more hauling ladders for me. Besides that not much has changed, still doing backyard bushcraft, hiking, and pretending I can cook like Jeffro and sharpen knives like DBX. The deskjob sure makes it harder to enjoy the heat, when I was in the field I gradually got used to it but I'm stuck in 72 degrees all day, shouldn't complain.
