I am on site. Got a pretty good spot. We will be just over the hill. From the main road. If you make the loop, right past the out house there is a road to the right. We will be back in there.

First time in TXBC history we have bailed on an outing due to weather. Another 8 - 24 hours or rain was predicted. We got about 3 inches between 7:30 and 12:30 Saturday morning and it was still raining.

I was bailing the tent after setting it up again in the back yard for sure.

That was quite a little cloud burst we got. Mable didn't dry out and warm up until we got to Marquez. I don't think it stopped raining until West of Chilton. We got a little more rain here at the house last night but the wind dried us out by the time Church began. I think I will get set up and dried out on Monday morning. I want to thank y'all for the good time I had, it takes a special bunch of friends to take bad times and make them really shine.

I had to drive to Rio Vista the next day and there was tons of hail in Clifton. Weird storm.

Was nice to get out and see y'all again. Wish I would have forced myself out of the house Thursday. I wasn't too far south before I switched the wipers to intermittent. Didn't completely stop until Woodville, but the roads were wet all the way to the homestead.
String lights seemed to work ok, though I probably could have bumped them a step brighter. Finally got that canopy out of the box. Learned that I need to spray and seam seal my tent and rain fly. Also op tested the new sleeping bags (2 zipped together so my big fat self fits). So it wasn't a complete failure.
Also thinking I need to make a checklist so maybe I stop forgetting things.
Most importantly I made it without a flat tire or having to sleep on the ground. I hope we can get together again this fall.
